1 Full Scholarships

The Klaus Muhrmann Fellowship - PhD Funding

The Klaus Murmann Fellowship Program offers PhD funding. The scholarship payable to doctoral candidates depends on their income situation. In addition to the scholarship, a non-means-tested research allowance is provided. Funding is provided for a maximum of three years.

Applications can be submitted until January 02, April 02 and August 02, 2019.

DBU Dissertation Fellowship

Doctoral Candidates
Deadline: January, 15 and June, 15 of every year

Main task of the German Federal Environmental Foundation (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, DBU) is the promotion of innovative projects in the fields of environmental technology, research and nature conservation as also environmental communication and protection of cultural assets. The DBU Dissertation Fellowship supports young scientists during their dissertation period. Entitled to a fellowship are domestic and foreign students at German universities.

Application deadlines are January 15th and June 15th of every year.

2 Partial Scholarships

JSPS Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers (standard)

Duration: 12 – 24 months

A Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Research Fellowship aims at providing opportunities for researchers to pursue collaborative research with an academic host at Japanese universities or research institutes. Research stays lasting between 12 and 24 months are funded in the framework of JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships (standard). Pre-selection of candidates for this funding line is conducted exclusively by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Up to 16 JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships (standard) are granted annually. Applications can be send to the Humboldt foundation anytime and online.
