Without Installation

To give you the possibility to work on the excercises without installing Python or R on your PC we have set up a Jupyterhub for you, On this hub, you wuill be able to use R and Python and run your personal code and many other possibilities.

For all technically inclined: In prinicipal, on the hub, you have a containerized minimal Linux system at your hand with limited capabilities.  The Docker container contains basic packages for Julia, R, Python and Octave. You can also compile Latex documents on the server.

The Jupyterhub is a set up on a university server. With your login no data is transferred to other parties. Only for administration purposes - e,g, in case you manage to wreck the system on the server - your email and name are visible for the system adminstrators (Johannes Bleher and Thomas Dimpfl) for the purpose of fixing any errors. In emergency cases the system-adminstrators also have the possibilities to login to your workplace to shutdown failing processes or fix other irregularities. Aside from the time of your last login, we do not record any data on your user behavior.

In general, all saved files and data are only accessible to you and in well-founded cases also for the system-administrators.

I agree with the above modalities.

I disagree.
